Besides looking good, new or existing seating also acquires excellent elasto-dynamic properties. The seat adapts to the body, moves with the sitter’s posture and constantly distributes the pressure in all sitting positions. Seat-E-Lastica also absorbs the impact when you sit down.

The basis for good seating is the cushioning. But cushioned seats are usually bulky. A wooden plank with a thick layer of foam or a thick spring packet.

With the slim, flowing shape of Seat-E-Lastica and free-form bent tubes, fitting covers couldn't be easier. Covers - Velcro attachable, retightenable, with or without stretch - can be quickly changed by the end-user, the retailer or the upholsterer. A heavy-duty elastic fabric provides about 25 Hz (Hertz shock frequency) of cushioning and shock absorption as well as good pressure distribution. With Seat-E-Lastica, it is now possible to build the first ever seats that comply with ISO/TC 108/SC4 2631-5 (Mechanical vibration and shock. Evaluation of human exposure to whole-body vibration). The material is perfect for combining with Perfolatex®, Enkev hair fibres and cocoa fibres.

The sleeves stretched round the frames are stitched with a single thread, and the overlap is glued with special adhesive. The sleeves are stretched round the frame with a force of 1,000 to 1,100 kg. The seat is covered with Seat-E-Lastica SEL-01 and the back with Seat-E-Lastica SEL-02. The seat has a polyether foam filling for better absorption of the forces on it and to minimise friction wear between the layers.

Seat-E-Lastica is available in two versions:

• Seat: SEL-01 elastic textile, 360 thread count, mesh width 2x3 mm, length 50 metres, width 60 cm.
• Backrest: SEL-02 elastic textile, 107 thread count, mesh width 6x6 mm, length 50 metres, width 66 cm.

The fabric consists of elastic warp threads and non-elastic weft threads and is bounded with natural latex. The material is highly tear-resistant at openings for protruding fasteners. The materials used are latex, cotton and viscose thread. There may be knots woven into the fabric, and the width may vary slightly.

We tailor our products to our customers’ requirements, so we offer a custom solution for every need. For small production runs, we offer a metal frame covering service. For big production runs, we can advise you on the purchase of the processing machines. We can also provide samples.
